My cousin brought this to a family picnic and it has been on our menu for about 15 years. Great to have a main dish or to take to church dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1
    14 oz can of tomatoes
  • 1
    15 oz can of tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 pkg
    of medium egg noodles

How to Make Chili - Beef Noodle Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. In large skillet brown ground beef and onion. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in chili powder.
  3. Ad tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt and black pepper.
  4. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Meanwhile cook noodles according to direction on the package and drain.
  6. Serve chili beef over the noodles or you can put it in a 2 quart casserole and top with 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
