Cream Cheese Pizza Pasties
1/4 csolid shortening
3 ozpkg. cream cheese
1 1/4 call purpose flour
3 Tbspice water
1/2 lbground lean beef
1/3 cpizza sauce
1 Tbspchopped onion
1/2 cshredded mozzarella cheese
How to Make Cream Cheese Pizza Pasties
- Cut shortening and cream cheese into flour and salt.
Sprinkle with water one Tablespoon at a time until dough holds together. Chill about 25 minutes.
Brown beef. Pour off fat. Stir in pizza sauce, onion, oregano, salt and pepper.
Roll out pastry into two 8-inch circles on a floured surface.
Cover 1/2 of each circle with meat mixture, and top each with cheese.
Fold over pastry to cake a half moon.
Press our edges with fork to seal .
Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 425^ for 20 minutes , until golden brown.
