connie's cabbage rolls
This cabbage rolls recipe has been in our family for years. It is delicious and so easy to make. Everyone loves them. When I was working, my peers always wanted these for our potlucks. Delicious!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 pound ground pork
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 cup cooked rice
- 1 small minced onion
- 2 cans 8 oz. tomatoe sauce
- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice or vinegar
How To Make connie's cabbage rolls

Step 1combine meat, salt, pepper, rice, onion, and 1 can tomatoe sauce.

Step 2cover cabbage leaves with boiling water for 4 minutes.

Step 3place portions of meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf.

Step 4roll up, folding ends over.

Step 5place seam side down in skillet.

Step 6mix remaing tomatoe sauce with brown sugar and lemon juice.

Step 7pour mixture over rolls.

Step 8simmer covered 1 to 1 1/2 hours, basting often.
