My Dad got me started with this along time ago. Over the years I added a few things... My boys love this and I am going to teach this to my son Blake to make. Just like Dad showed me.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef round steak
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2/3 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chedder cheese,shredded
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon steak sauce
  • 3/4 pound bacon
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 8 ounces baby portebello mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 can beer

How To Make bob's cheese round steak w/mushrooms & onions.

  • Step 1
    You will need a 4qt deep cast iron dutch oven at least,(I used a 4 qt). In a pie tin mix flour,salt,pepper,garlic salt,and 1/2 table spoon of parsley. Coat meat,then pound the meat out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut meat into 6-8 pieces.
  • Step 2
    Fry bacon in the oven till almost chrisp. In a mixing bowl Add beer,Worcestershire sauce,steak sauce,and teriyaki sauce. Mix well.. Remove bacon from oven.Drain on paper towl and save.
  • Step 3
    Brown round steak slowly in the dutch oven. Add onions and mushrooms cook till tender. Now add beer and sauce mix. Cover and simmer for abought one hour. Remove lid sprinkle bacon, cheese and parsley over top.Cook for 10 min more. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
