Everyone will love this easy Beef Stroganoff. Its yummy and easy to make. Serve over parslied egg noodles or hot cooked rice.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds stew cubes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 - medium onions, sliced
  • 2 packages (8 oz.) sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • - hot buttered noodles or white rice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

How To Make beef stroganoff

  • Step 1
    In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in onions and mushrooms; cook for 3 minutes; remove from pan and set aside.
  • Step 2
    add 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil to pot
  • Step 3
    Toss stew meat with flour until well coated. Add beef to the pot and cook until browned. Add a bit more oil if needed.
  • Step 4
    Stir in beef broth until smooth. Bring just to a boil then turn heat down to low.
  • Step 5
    Cover and simmer over low heat until meat is tender, about 40-50 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Remove pan from heat.
  • Step 7
    Mix sour cream with a bit of the hot broth until smooth, then stir gently into the pot.
  • Step 8
    To serve, ladle some of the stroganoff over hot egg noodles or rice and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
