This has been in my family for as long as I can remember. Wonderful served with biscuit or homemade bread. It is unique in flavor. Family and friends seem to love it for there is never any left.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef stew meat
- 2 medium onions chopped in fairly large pieces
- 1 can beef broth
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1 large bay leaf
- 6 - whole cloves
- 1/4 cup flour
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 can (16 oz) green lima bean
- 6 - carrots large chopped
- 4 medium potato chopped fairly large chunks

Step 1Using a dutch pot heat oil; Combine flour,salt, pepper in a paper sack; Place a few pieces of stew beef in paper sack shake; Brown in oil a few pieces at time; Add: onions, stew meat, the 6 cloves, bay leaf,broth and boiling water Simmer on low for 3 hours or until meat is tender Add: tomato sauce,carrots,and lima beans cook until vegetables are tender.
