This recipe was handed down to me by a church member from my childhood church. She also was my babysitter at that time.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons bbq sauce
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped

How To Make beef rolls

  • Step 1
    In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, dry bread crumbs, BBQ sauce, egg and salt.
  • Step 2
    Pat meat mixture into 14 X 8-inch rectangle on foil or waxed paper.
  • Step 3
    In a seperate mixing bowl, combine grated cheddar cheese and chopped bell pepper.
  • Step 4
    Spread cheese mixture over meat.
  • Step 5
    Roll up jelly roll style.
  • Step 6
    Chill several hours or overnight.
  • Step 7
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 8
    Slice into 6 slices.
  • Step 9
    Bake in shallow pan for 25 to 30 minutes.
