This recipe was handed down to me by a church member from my childhood church. She also was my babysitter at that time.

Convection Oven


  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp
    bbq sauce
  • 1
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 c
    bell pepper, chopped

How to Make Beef Rolls


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, dry bread crumbs, BBQ sauce, egg and salt.
  2. Pat meat mixture into 14 X 8-inch rectangle on foil or waxed paper.
  3. In a seperate mixing bowl, combine grated cheddar cheese and chopped bell pepper.
  4. Spread cheese mixture over meat.
  5. Roll up jelly roll style.
  6. Chill several hours or overnight.
  7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  8. Slice into 6 slices.
  9. Bake in shallow pan for 25 to 30 minutes.
