This is a very old recipe. I've had it since the first or second year I was married. It is SO easy and delicious too. Photo: Bettycrocker.com

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (i use chuck)
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 can (16 oz.) pork and beans
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, any brand you like
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pound velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated biscuits
  • 6 slices velveeta cheese

How To Make beef & bean barbecue bake

  • Step 1
In a skillet, brown the beef and onion; drain. Add pork and beans, barbecue sauce, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in Velveeta cubes and mix well.
  • Step 2
Turn mixture into a lightly greased baking dish.
  • Step 3
Cut the biscuits in half, forming half-moons. Place, cut side down, around the edge of casserole. Do not press down too much, or they will be doughy.
  • Step 4
Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 20 minutes. Top with additional Velveeta slices; return to oven until Velveeta melts.
