This is a very old recipe. I've had it since the first or second year I was married. It is SO easy and delicious too.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef (i use chuck)
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 can(s)
    (16 oz.) pork and beans
  • 1/2 c
    barbecue sauce, any brand you like
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 lb
    velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 can(s)
    (8 oz.) refrigerated biscuits
  • 6 slice
    velveeta cheese

How to Make BEEF & BEAN BARBECUE BAKE

Step-by-Step

  1. In a skillet, brown the beef and onion; drain. Add pork and beans, barbecue sauce, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in Velveeta cubes and mix well.
  2. Turn mixture into a lightly greased baking dish.
  3. Cut the biscuits in half, forming half-moons. Place, cut side down, around the edge of casserole. Do not press down too much, or they will be doughy.
  4. Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 20 minutes. Top with additional Velveeta slices; return to oven until Velveeta melts.
