beef barley stew
This stew I make all the time, in the fall and winter time, so now is the time to make it again. Made it for my Uncle and Aunt these last few weeks, they loved it.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef stew meat cubed
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cups water
- 1 package beef stew seasoning
- 5 cups mixed fresh vegetables, like potatoes, carrots peas, onions, celery
- 1/4 cup barley, uncooked
How To Make beef barley stew

Step 1Coat stew meat with flour and brown in the oil. After meat has browned add water and barley, cover with enough water and bring to a boil, keeping it at a medium boil and boil until meat is tender, this may take up to 3 or 4 hours. Then place in a crock pot. Add everything else and cover with water.

Step 2In crock pot, cook on high for about 1 1/2 hours more or until the vegetables are tender.

Step 3Serve with a good crusty roll or bread. Enjoy
