2 lbcubed beef (chuck or round)

2 Tbspshortening

1 lgonion

1 Tbspvinegar

1 smcan tomato paste

1 pttomato juice

1/4 cbrown sugar

1 tspmustard

1 cwater

2 tspsalt
How To Make beef barbecue

1In a heavy sauce pan melt shortening. Add cubed beef and brown lightly. Add chopped onion and cook until the onion turns clear.

2Add remaining ingredients and stir. Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and cook slowly for two hours. When the meat is tender mash the chunks of meat with a potato masher until the mixture is of a thick consistency with no chunks of meat. If desired add a few drops of tobasco sauce.

3Serve on bun.
