bean and meat stew

My Mom made this quick and easy stew for as long as I can remember. We use to crumble cornbread on the top of our bowls of stew and dig in. Recipe is easily cut in half for two servings.

Ingredients
- 2 cans great northern beans
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup salt pork, diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup diced onion
How To Make bean and meat stew

Step 1Fry salt pork crisp in a large fry pan and remove. Brown onion and beef in the pork fat. Drain. Add beans, tomatoes (cut into pieces with edge of spoon), salt,and pepper (Add salt pork, optional.) Cook on low heat for 30 min.
