- 4 to 5 pounds rump or blade roast
- 1 to 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 to 2 teaspoons pepper
- 1 to 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 to 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups barbecue sauce
How To Make barbecued beef

Step 1Trim excess fat from roast, if needed .Combine seasonings and rub onto both sides of meat. Wrap in plastic or put in food storage bag; refrigerate 24 hours.

Step 2Cook meat in a covered barbecue grill over low coals,turning to cook evenly until done, about 2 hours.Meat may be cooked in oven at 325 if desired .Let meat rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with warm barbecue sauce may be served on a bun.
