I think, I got this off of Facebook. Our grands LOVE this! They want it to be on the menu for our Christmas Eve gathering. I try to keep the ingredients on hand to make for them....it is my job to feed them! lol A deal we made years ago, after I married their G'pa.

Ingredients

1 package hot dogs
1 package hot dog buns
2-3 pinches shredded cheese/per dog
1 can thick chili
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 teaspoon powdered garlic
2 tablespoons finely diced parsley

How To Make baked chili cheese dogs

Step 1

Place the hot dog buns into a 9x13 baking dish. Cut a trough into each hot dog bun, do not cut clear through, do not open the bun. Next push down the trough for the hotdog to rest in. Preheat oven to 350

Step 2

Melt butter, garlic and parsley in the microwave. Baste it onto the buns.
Step 3

Bake 5 min at 350.
Step 4

Remove from oven lay the hot dog into the bun trough. Top with chili. Top chili with shredded cheese. (your choice: cheddar, taco, pepperjack etc)
Step 5

Bake 25 min at 350*
