2 large
onions, sliced
4 Tbsp
olive oil
1 Tbsp
mixed dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, marjoram)
2 tsp
paprika
2 large
carrots, diced
4 medium
potatoes, peeled and diced
1 can(s)
peeled tomatoes
1 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 bottle
dry red wine
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make ALTMODISCHER DEUTSCHER GULASCH

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add beef and cook until brown.
  • 2Add the onion and cook until transparent.
  • 3Add carrots, potatoes, herbs and paprika and stir for a few minutes until thoroughly combined.
  • 4Add red wine, tomatoes and the spices, including salt and pepper, and simmer, covered, for 2 to 3 hours. Add water if necessary.
  • 5Serve with dumplings, noodles or rice.
