Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes or tomato chunks
- 1 can (14 oz.) tomato sauce
- 4 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (19 oz.) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup kellogg's all-bran original cereal
How To Make all-bran chili

Step 1In a large saucepan, cook hamburger with onion and green pepper until meat is brown, stirring frequently. Drain fat.

Step 2Add the tomatoes; break into chunks if whole. Stir in the tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add beans and bring to a boil.

Step 3Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4Mix in the cereal and cook about 10 minutes longer, stirring frequently.

Step 5Serve with cornbread and a green salad, if desired.
