How to Make Alaskan Shepherd's Pie
- Brown moose with powdered garlic, onion and cayenne pepper.
While browning, clean and fork 3 russet potatoes, bake in microwave till soft enough to mash.
- Peel 3 sweet potatoes, cut and boil in water till fork soft. Reserve liquid, as well as the liquid from the asparagus, carrots and beans.
- Put both types of potatoes in mixer with 1/4 cup butter and small container of sour cream and beat till smooth.
Spread moose over the bottom of a large lasagna pan.
Deglaze pan from moose with some of the reserved liquid and add 2 tsp of vegetable "Better Than Bullion." Mix milk and flour to thicken into a gravy.
- Layer vegetables over moose, drizzle gravy over everything, spread mashed potatoes over everything, dot with butter and ground pepper.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
