How To Make veggie pot stickers
-
Step 1WHISK AWAY: Help your child measure out the vinegar, 2 Tbs. soy sauce, sugar, and ginger, and place them in a bowl. Show her/him how to use a whisk and ask her/him to mix everything together. Suggest she/he hold onto the bowl with one hand to keep it steady.
-
Step 2FILL, FILL, FILL: Put wonton wrappers on your work surface. Have your child place 1 tsp. corn, and 1/2 tsp. carrots on one side of each of the wrappers. Then have her/him drizzle the remaining soy sauce on top of the veggies in the wrappers.
-
Step 3CLOSE UP: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Ask your kid to brush the sides of the wonton wrappers with water. Help her/him fold them over and pinch the sides together to seal. Boil for 3 mintues; drain. Cool slightly on a platter. Serve with a dipping sauce.
