sweet and spicy thai shrimp with yellow rice

Omg my family love love loves this quick and easy shrimp dish. Whenever I take shrimp out they want Spicy Thai Shrimp, I had to add an extra bag when I make it.

Ingredients

  • 2 bags shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons duck sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder with parsley
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • few bunch cilantro, fresh
  • 3 tablespoons sirrachia chili sauce

How To Make sweet and spicy thai shrimp with yellow rice

  • Step 1
    Make rice ahead. 2c of Jasmine rice with 2c chicken broth and 2c of water. Add 1 tbl curry powder 1 minced garlic clove, and a dash of evo. cook 25min. Mix brown sugar, soy sauce, duck sauce and sesame seeds and 1 tsp sesame seed oil together set aside. Add Evo,butter sesame oil to hot Wok or Lg skillet add minced ginger and garlic brown about 2-3 min, add shrimp make sure shrimp has been cleaned deveined and pat dry. Brown until shrimp turn pink. Pour sauce over shrimp til it bubbles, serve over jasmine rice with sprigs of cilantro and sarricha chili sauce on top.
