Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground white lean chicken breast, you can also use ground turkey breast or leave out altogether for a vegetarian version.
- 2 bunches green onions, chopped or thinly sliced
- 1 package broccoli slaw or fresh stir fry veggies. if you use the stir fry veggies, choped them up into small pieces) (do not use frozen)
- 8 ounces sliced shiitake mushrooms
- 1 cup bean sprouts, fresh
- 1 cup water chestnuts
- 2 tablespoons black or roasted sesame seeds
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon chinese five spice (optional)
- 1 - head of fresh lettuce, any of them works great, i have used iceberg and red leaf and both work great
- 1 cup teriyaki or lettuce wrap sauce separated into 1 1/2 cup
- 1/4 cup ponzu sauce
How To Make chinese tacos (lettuce wraps)

Step 1In a sauté pan brown the chicken in the grape seed and sesame oil. Add 1 bunch of green onions, chopped, the dry seasonings, the fresh ginger and the mushrooms. Sauté until the chicken is done. Try the five spice before you add it, some people don't like the flavors.

Step 2Add the veggies, sesame seeds and ponzu sauce and sauté for an additional 10 minutes. Then stir in 1/2 cup of the teriyaki or lettuce wrap sauce.

Step 3Cut the lettuce into palm size pieces. Place a heaping scoop of the meat mixture into each one. Drizzle each with a little of the teriyaki or lettuce wrap sauce, sprinkle some sesame seeds and a few green onions on top, and that's it!
