This was one of the first dishes I made 30 years ago when I first got married. The whole family now enjoys it.

Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1 1/3 cups minute rice
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 - egg beaten
- 1/3 cup onion chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
How To Make chinese style fried rice

Step 1Bring 1 cup of the water to a boil in a saucepan. Stir in rice and remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.

Step 2Cook egg in butter in a 10" skillet until set. Add onion and the rice and cook and stir over medium heat until rice and onions are slightly browned..about 5 minutes.

Step 3Combine remaining water and soy sauce. Stir into rice. Mix well and serve.
