Chinese Style Fried Rice

This was one of the first dishes I made 30 years ago when I first got married. The whole family now enjoys it.
Ingredients

1 1/3 cwater
-
1 1/3 cminute rice
-
3 Tbspbutter or margarine
-
1egg beaten
-
1/3 conion chopped
-
2-3 Tbspsoy sauce
How to Make Chinese Style Fried Rice
- Bring 1 cup of the water to a boil in a saucepan. Stir in rice and remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Cook egg in butter in a 10" skillet until set. Add onion and the rice and cook and stir over medium heat until rice and onions are slightly browned..about 5 minutes.
- Combine remaining water and soy sauce. Stir into rice. Mix well and serve.
