Ingredients

1 c
orange juice
1/3 c
soy sauce
1/4 c
firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp
cornstarch
3 Tbsp
vegetable oil
3 lb
boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into one nich cubes
2 Tbsp
fresh grated orange rind
1 tsp
ground ginger
1/4 tsp
hot sauce
4
scallions cut into 1/4 inch slices
1 can(s)
(8 oz) sliced water chestnuts, drained

oranges peeled seeded and cut into pieces

How to Make Alan's Kyoto Orange Chicken

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine first 4 ingredients. Stir until sugar and cornstarch disolve. set aside
  • 2Pour oil into preheated wok and bring to medium high (325.)
  • 3add chicken and stir fry 2 minutes. Add grated orange rind, ginger and hot sauce - stir fry 2-3 minutes
  • 4add orange juice mixture, green onions and water chestnuts. Stir fry 3 minutes until thickened. Stir in ornage sections and stir until warm. Serve over hot rice.
