Thick Banana Oatmeal Creamy Smoothie

What a treat! I have these for breakfast of a quick lunch on the go. The oatmeal makes it thick and the banana makes it sweet, but not too sweet. Sometimes I add a protein powder for that extra boost in the morning or when I do not have nuts. This makes one generous serving.

  • 2 1/2 c
    ice cubes
  • 2 Tbsp
    heaping tbsp plain yogurt
  • 4 Tbsp
    rounded tbsp cooked plain quick oatmeal
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    (optional) honey

How to Make Thick Banana Oatmeal Creamy Smoothie


  1. Crush 1/2 cup ice in blender. crush another 1/2 cup ice with yogurt. Add banana and 1/2 cup ice. Add remaining ice a little at a time. Add oatmeal and blend and add almonds.
  2. Note:
    You can serve like this or on top of 4 cubes of ice or so if you would like.
