thick banana oatmeal creamy smoothie

What a treat! I have these for breakfast of a quick lunch on the go. The oatmeal makes it thick and the banana makes it sweet, but not too sweet. Sometimes I add a protein powder for that extra boost in the morning or when I do not have nuts. This makes one generous serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 - banana
  • 2 1/2 cups ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons heaping tbsp plain yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons rounded tbsp cooked plain quick oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons almonds
  • 1 teaspoon (optional) honey

How To Make thick banana oatmeal creamy smoothie

  • Step 1
    Crush 1/2 cup ice in blender. crush another 1/2 cup ice with yogurt. Add banana and 1/2 cup ice. Add remaining ice a little at a time. Add oatmeal and blend and add almonds.
  • Step 2
    Note: You can serve like this or on top of 4 cubes of ice or so if you would like.
