power protein pick-me-up smoothie

This is my favorite smoothie! Packed full of protein, fruit, and pro-biotics for energy and good healthy snacking! Low fat, delicious & low cost. My whole family loves this version, but you can try many variations, the list is endless (just about). Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla flavored soymilk
  • 3/4 cup plain or vanilla low-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 5-6 - whole frozen strawberries-unsweetened
  • 3/4 cup low fat granola ( i use low fat granola w/almonds)
  • 1 - ripe banana ( sliced for topping)

How To Make power protein pick-me-up smoothie

  • Step 1
    In blender add soymilk, yogurt, frozen strawberries and peanut butter. Blend on low until throughly blended, abotu a minute , then on high til smooth.
  • Step 2
    Add granola and blended on high for about a minute.
  • Step 3
    Serve as one in large mug, or split into 3 servings into smaller cups or glasses.
  • Step 4
    Top with sliced banana!
  • Step 5
    Add spoon and ENJOY!!!!!
  • Step 6
    Variations can be switching up the fruit, such as frozen blueberries or frozen mango, etc.... Also swapping peanut butter for lower fat delicious almond butter (YUM), you can and honey for a sweeter taste. You can swap soymilk for rice milk, almond milk or skim milk.
