For those that use protein powder or would like to use but afraid it will taste awful, try this smoothie. Tastes like a chocolate covered banana. The ricotta makes it smooth and creamy. Just LOVE this. It is not a thick smoothie, if you would like it thicker, use more ice in the blender. I also used a tablespoon of Benefiber in mine, but this is not necessary.

How To Make power banana/chocolate breakfast oatmeal smoothie

  • Step 1
Place 2 ice cubes and pulse blender to break up ice. Add ricotta cheese, oatmeal and blend some more. Through the "hatch" in lid, add milk, protein powder, cocoa powder (optional), Splenda and 1/2 banana broken into chunks while still on and blend till smooth. Serve over the remaining 4 ice cubes.·
  • Step 2
Note: This is not a smoothie with a malt-like consistency, more of a chocolate milk one. For a thicker smoothie, add additional ice to the blender and use a frozen banana.
