pineapple strawberry morning smoothie

This is a wonderful morning smoothie. Fresh pineapple is wonderful, but I use canned and am able to use the juice as well to make this drink that is not a blast of sugar, but will give you that boost you need in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup canned pineapple chunks (reserve juice)
  • 3/4 cup milk, low-fat
  • 1/2 medium banana, in chunks
  • 3/4 cup reserved pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup plain non fat yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 packages splenda or 1/2 tsp honey
  • 6 - ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon wheat germ

How To Make pineapple strawberry morning smoothie

  • Step 1
    Blend the strawberries, banana, milk, pineapple juice, vanilla yogurt, extract, splenda or honey and wheat germ in a blender until smooth. Add 1 or two ice cubes and pulse in between to break up.
