One of my friends told me that he loves this drink in the morning. He tells me that this low-fat protein-packed smoothie is perfect for on the go and by adding the yogurt at the very end impacts a creamy texture. Woody and I tried it and it's really good.

make 2 one cup servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    1% low fat milk
  • 1/2 c
    chushed ice
  • 1 tsp
    honey
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground nutmeg or cinnamon
  • 1
    frozen sliced ripe large banana
  • 1 c
    plain 2% reduced fat greek yogurt

How to Make Gluten-Free Banana Breakfast Smoothie

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a blender and process for 2 minutes or until smooth.
  2. Add yogurt and process just until blended and serve ammidiately.
  3. NOTE:Instead of frozen banana you can substitute frozen strawberries with strawberry low fat yogurt, peach with low fat peach yogurt.
