Fruitty Yogurtie Smoothie

Marcia Paholski

While visiting our son in California my husband fell in love with smoothies. I decided to try and come up with something that compares with the ones he bought. Now it's his favorite breakfast. A really fast and filling meal. I find myself now freezing watermelon, peaches and melon to include in my smoothies. Frozen bananas are a must as they add a nice texture.

1/2 c
vegetable & fruit juice such as v8 v.fusion
ice cubes
1 scoop(s)
protein mix such as eas soy protein
1/2 c
plain greek lowfat yogurt
frozen banana - peel and cut into chunks before freezing
2 or 3 medium
whole fruits. frozen is best. use more if using berries.

1Place ingredients in the order listed into a blender. Pulse at frappe speed for 30 seconds or more. If smoothie comes out to thin for your taste add more yogurt. If to thick add more juice. Since this is enough for two you might want to do two scoops of protein mix. I use EAS brand which I found in Walmart in the pharmacy area.
