cherry yum smoothie

My grandmother used to make the most amazing cherry pies, which is probably why I adore tart cherries! This is a healthy and easy way to get my fix =) With the pineapple juice and vanilla protein powder, this is usually plenty sweet for me, but you can always add some sweetener if you like.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 3/4 cup milk (your preferred variety; i use almond)
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt (i use plain lowfat or greek)
  • 1 cup canned tart cherries with juice
  • 1 - scoop vanilla protein powder

How To Make cherry yum smoothie

  • Step 1
    Put all ingredients except for protein powder into blender, process until smooth.
  • Step 2
    With blender running at lowest speed, slowly add protein powder. (I find this is the best way to keep the powder from sticking to the sides of the blender.)
