berry healthy smoothie

This is a delicious way to get in a breakfast in the morning. Instead of coffee, quickly whip up one of these in the morning and put in a mug that will fit into your cup holder in your car. To make it easier, pre-measure your frozen berries or select your favorite fruit (peaches, bananas, pears, strawberries etc) and cut it up and freeze it. Then place into snack ziploc baggies and its pre-measured.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana, broken in chunks
  • 1/4 cup milk, low fat
  • 1/4 cup plain low fat yogurt
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 tablespoon wheat germ
  • 1 tablespoon flax
  • 1 teaspoon honey or 2 splenda packets
  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • Step 1
    In a blender, combine all ingredients and pulse/blend until smooth. Pour into glass and enjoy.
