Looks like Champagne. A favorite for wedding receptions, anniversaries, special occasions. My mother-in-law knew how much we liked it and made it for our annual family Christmas party!

yield 128 / Makes 2 quarts concentrate, 4 gallons diluted.

Ingredients

  • 5 pounds sugar
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 12 - lemons, juice only
  • 1 1/2 ounces almond extract
  • 3 teaspoons citric acid (found in pharmacies or with canning supplies)
  • 10 pints gingerale (i use canada dry)
  • 4 1/2 quarts ice water

How To Make almond punch

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients until sugar is dissolved.
  • Step 2
    Store in refrigerator, or can make ahead and freeze then thaw till slushy.
  • Step 3
    Mix concentrate with 2 parts ginger ale and 1 part ice water.
