I ripped this out of a magazine but Im not sure which one. It was a Q&A small article. Im posting it so if I lose the clipping I'll still have it...

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, ground
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 pinch black pepper

How To Make remedy for a cold (haldi doodh)

  • Step 1
    Bring water and milk to a boil the add turmeric and minced ginger and honey and a pinch of black pepper. Let simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Let cool before drinking. Enjoy twice daily until your cold is gone.

    Taken right from the article: Haldi doodh is as spicy, slightly sweet Native American remedy used for centuries to help eliminate cough, runny nose and congestion. Its mixture of milk, water, turmeric minced ginger black pepper and honey. The turmeric and ginger have anti-inflammatory properties and that relieve congestion and the honey and milk soothe a sore throat.
