Every year I buy mulling spice for hot cider and cocktails. I found a recipe that tastes the same as the store bought, but costs a fraction of the price.

Ingredients
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon orange peel
- 1 tablespoon ground clove
- 1 tablespoon allspice
- 3/4 tablespoon ground nutmeg
How To Make mulling spice

Step 1Mix all ingredients together.

Step 2Store in an airtight container.

Step 3Use 1/4 to 1/2 C to your batch of cider or mulled wine. If making a cup or two of cider, I would start with a teaspoon of mulling spice and add more to taste.
