Ingredients For carajillo - coffee

  • 1 1/2 - 2 oz
    spanish brandy
  • 4 oz
    fresh brewed, chilled or cold, strong coffee
  • 1
    lemon wedge - to rim glass
  • coarse sugar for rimming the glass
  • 4 - 6
    ice cubes
  • 1
    lemon wedge, garnish

How To Make carajillo - coffee

    Cut a lemon into wedges and set aside until needed. Pour some coarse sugar onto a small plate for rimming and set aside until needed.

    Now, run a lemon wedge around the rim of the glass, making sure to leave juice on the glass.

    Next, place the glass on the small plate with the sugar and turn the glass until the rim of the glass is coated in sugar.

    Add the ice cubes into the glass and slowly pour in the brandy. Top the brandy with the coffee and garnish with a slice of lemon.
