  • 1 cup organic raw almonds
  • 3 1/2 cups filtered water plus extra for soaking overnight
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt, optional
  • 1 or 2 teaspoons good honey , optional for sweetness

How To Make almond milk-homemade

  • Step 1
Place almonds in a medium bowl and cover with some filtered water. Let soak overnight. Drain almonds and rinse off with clean water. Place drained almonds in a blender and add the 3 1/2 cups of filtered water.
  • Step 2
Blend on high for 2 minutes, or until liquid becomes white and milky.
  • Step 3
Place a clean white linen towel or 2 white paper towels in a strainer over a large bowl. Pour blended liquid, a little at a time, into the towel. Keep pouring slowly until all the liquid has passed through.( If using linen towel twist to get all the liquid out.)For paper towels use a large spoon to gently press out all the liquid in the pulp. SAVE THIS PULP FOR BAKING OR OTHER RECIPES.
  • Step 4
Pour the liquid milk into a glass jar or pitcher. Add vanilla, salt and honey if using. Shake or stir before each use. Keep refrigerated. Will keep up to 4 days in refrigerator. Thanks Jillee of OneGoodThingByJillee.com
