How To Make sweet tea by pattycake
-
Step 1Take the tags off of the tea bags. Thisis just something my momma did and I have followed her footsteps.. Place in pot and cover with about 5 cups of water.
-
Step 2Bring to a boil and let boil hard for about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and forget about it for a little while. I usually let mine steep for about 1-2 hours.
-
Step 3Put sugar into pitcher. Using a slotted spoon, squeezing and holding the tea bags, pour steeped tea on top of sugar. Stir and fill up remainder of the pitcher with cold water, continuously stirring. Serve over ice and store in the refrigerator.
