Spicy CranCitrus Drink
Note: This is a TOH recipe and the photo is theirs as well.
- 6 c
- water, divided
- 2 c
- fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 c
- 1/4 c
- red-hot candies (i would use 2 cinnamon sticks instead)
- whole cloves
- 1/2 c
- orange juice
- 1/4 c
- lemon juice
How to Make Spicy CranCitrus Drink
- 1If using candies:
In a pan, cook the cranberries in 2 cups of water until they pop, then strain. Reserve the juice and set it aside. Discard the skins.
In the same pan, combine the sugar, candies, cloves and remaining water. Cook until all is dissolved. Add all the juices and heat through. Remove the cloves. Serve while still hot.
- 2If using cinnamon sticks instead of candies:
I say throw it all in a pan and cook it until the cranberries burst, then strain it and wa-la, done!
