Ingredients
- 2 quarts apple cider
- 1/2 large orange
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/8 cup brown sugar
- 6 - whole allspice berries
- 1/8 teaspoon cardamom seeds (or 8 whole pods, crushed)
- 1 - inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
- 2 sticks cinnamon, 3-inches each
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 10 - whole cloves
- 1 - whole star anise

Step 1Put all of the ingredients into a 3-qt Slow Cooker and stir. Cover with lid and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.

Step 2Ladle into mugs through a small strainer (to strain out whole spices and cranberries).
