Recipe from our "Vineyard Fare" second edition,1963. Often served as a welcome in the shops locally at Christmas time. The aroma is very nice, with the scent of cinnamon sticks;and it is kept hot in a crockpot usually.

Makes one gallon, 16 -8 oz.cups
Ingredients
- 1 quart cranberries, fresh
- 3 quarts water
- 6 - juice of oranges, fresh squeezed
- 1 pound sugar
- 4 - juice of lemons, fresh squeezed
- 2 teaspoons whole cloves
- 2 sticks cinnamon

Step 1Boil the cranberries in 2 Qts.of water. Strain. Boil and strain the juice of oranges and lemons in 1 Qt. of water with cloves and cinnamon. Add sugar. Combine the cranberry juice. Serve hot!

Step 2A quick version: 1/2 cup Light Cranberry Juice (OS); 1/2 cup water; 1 Tb. light orange marmalade (Smuckers); 1 teabag/black tea. Microwave and combine in teapot, serve immediately after stirring! Serves 2.
