Leche con Plátano, translates to mean “banana milk” is essentially a light banana milkshake.

This simple drink is made with milk or cream, ripe bananas, sugar or honey and ice. It is universally adored by children and adults alike.

Please Note: That Chileans love their milkshakes extra sweet, please adjust sugar to your taste.

    pure vanilla extract

How to Make Chilean Banana Milkshake (Leche con Plátano)


  1. Put the milk, bananas, 1/4 cup of the sugar, and vanilla extract in a blender.
  2. Blend until combined and smooth.
  3. Add the ice into the blender, then blend on high speed until the milkshake is well combined and smooth.
  4. If the smoothie isn’t sweet enough, add additional sugar to taste.
  5. Serve immediately.
