I just love summer and all the wonderful drinks we use to try and cool down. I hope you enjoy this really pretty, sangria, it's a family favorite, to which I add extra fruit. We enjoy the addition of pear and raspberries in this delicious White Summer Sangria.

Ingredients For summer sangria

  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1/2 c
    triple sec (or other orange liqueur)
  • 1/2 c
    brandy
  • 2 bottle
    750 ml chilled, dry, white wine
  • 1 bottle
    750 ml chilled club wine
  • 1 c
    cantaloupe ball, or chunks
  • 1 c
    honeydew melon, ball or chunks
  • 1/2 c
    thinly, sliced lemon
  • 1/2 c
    thinly, sliced lime
  • 1/2 c
    thinly, sliced oranges
  • 1 c
    small, strawberries, left whole, no leaves
  • 1
    thinly sliced pear (optional)
  • 1/2 c
    fresh, raspberries (optional)

How To Make summer sangria

    In a large chilled pitcher, combine the sugar, orange liqueur, brandy and white wine.

    Cover and refrigerate for 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

    When ready to serve slowly stir in club soda to taste.
