ginger mint tea punch

I was looking for a unique drink to go with taco night. While not strictly Latin in flavor, it was refreshing and thirst quenching. A great accompaniment to those spicy tacos!

Ingredients

  • 4 - peppermint tea bags
  • 8 - cups hot water
  • 1/4 - cup sugar
  • 1 - 2 liter bottle diet ginger ale

How To Make ginger mint tea punch

  • Step 1
    Steep the tea bags in the hot water for about 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add the sugar and stir to dissolve. (You can add as much sugar as you like to taste).
  • Step 3
    Pour into a pitcher and chill.
  • Step 4
    Add ice to glasses. Pour about half full with tea. Fill the rest of the way with ginger ale. Stir. Garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices.
