- 1/3 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 2 teaspoons whole allspice
- 4 sticks cinnamon (3-4 inch)
- 1 bottle (48 ounce) apple cider=6 cups
- 1 bottle (48 ounce) cranberry juice cocktail=6 cups
How To Make spiced apple-cranberry cider (slow cooker)

Step 1Using a slow cooker that holds up to 5 quarts, mix all ingredients. Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours. Remove allspice and cinnamon prior to serving.

Step 2NOTE: Put spices in cheesecloth, several layers of gauze, or a paper coffee filter. Tie with a piece of kitchen string. This makes the spices easy to remove from the hot cider.

Step 3Serving suggestion: For a lovely flash of color in this ruby red drink, add fresh orange slices to slow cooker immediately prior to serving.
