If you don't like a strong taste of tequila in your margarita, then this recipe is for you. It's a mild tasting margarita. This has the sweet and tart flavors you expect from a margarita, but the beer adds a bubbly flavor we loved. It's perfect to sip on while enjoying chips and salsa. The Test Kitchen

    cold water
  • 2 c
    tequila
  • 1 1/2 c
    orange liqueur
  • 1 can(s)
    cold beer, 12 oz.
  • 1
    lime, sliced

    margarita salt (optional)
  • ·
    ice

How to Make House Margaritas

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large pitcher, mix together limeade and water.
  2. Add tequila, orange liqueur and beer; mix well.
  3. Run a slice of lime around the rim of a margarita glass.
  4. Then dip rim into a dish of salt.
  5. Add ice to glass, fill with margarita mixture and serve. (Garnish with slice of lime, if desired.)
