This is a drink that my girlfriends and I came up with one summer for a pool party. A pretty, refreshing drink, that I hope you will enjoy. I should tell you that it does pack quite a punch.

We have also made this using pineapple juice or orange juice or lemonade instead of the limeade. All four juices taste great...

My favorite version is with the limeade.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz
    mango rum
  • 1 oz
    blue curacao
  • 10 oz
    limeade, frozen
  • 8
    ice cubes
  • 1 Tbsp
    mango rum (for rimming glass)
  • 2 Tbsp
    white sugar (for rimming glass)
  • 1 slice
    lime, garnish

How to Make Flash Lightning

Step-by-Step

  1. You will need a tall glass.
  2. Rim glass with mango rum and dip in the white sugar, till evenly coated, as much or as little as you like.
  3. Add ice cubes to glass.
  4. Add the rum and Blue Curacao and limeade to glass, stir and add garnish.
  5. If you find the drink too strong add more limeade.
  6. Enjoy!
