Try a Radler
This version combines light, crisp lager and homemade lemon soda made with fresh squeezed lemon juice. Sounds great to me.
I know first hand that ginger ale and beer are good together, so I am betting the other beer variations will be just as good.
·4 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
·2 ounces simple syrup
·6 ounces club soda or seltzer, cold
·1 cup water
·2 cups sugar
·12 ounces light lager, chilled
·2 lemon slices
How to Make Try a Radler
- Lemon Soda:
Pour lemon juice, simple syrup in a small pitcher and mix. Next add the club soda and give it a good stir.
- Simple Syrup:
Add 1 cup of water and 2 cups of sugar to a medium saucepan, cook over medium-high heat, stir often, it is done when the sugar is dissolved and the syrup has thickened.
Cool and keep in an airtight container in the fridge to use in other summer drinks.
Pour half of the lemon soda and half of the beer into two beer glasses, sir and garnish with a lemon slice.
