put the lime in the coconut margarita
A tropical take on the classic Margarita. I use agave instead of simple syrup. Use 1/2 amount simple syrup called for in any recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons lime zest
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons superfine sugar
- 2 lime wedges
- 2 ounces coconut cream (not coconut milk), i.e. coco lopez
- 1 1/2 ounces white or silver tequila
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1/2 ounce triple sec
- 1/2 tablespoon agave syrup (or 1 tablespoon simple syrup)
How To Make put the lime in the coconut margarita

Step 1On a small plate, combine equal salt, lime zest and sugar and spread in an even layer. Gently rub 1 of the lime wedges around the rim of a rocks glass. Holding the base of the glass, dip the rim into the salt mixture. Place in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Step 2Before serving, fill the glass with ice.

Step 3In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the coconut cream, tequila, lime juice, triple sec and agave syrup. Cover, shake vigorously until well chilled and strain into ice-filled glass.

Step 4Garnish with remaining lime wedge.
