A nice change from the classic margarita. Great for summer. Cook time is time to freeze pomegranate ice cubes.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    pomegranate juice (or enough to fill 1 ice cube tray)
  • 1/2 c
    lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange liqueur
  • 1/2 c
    tequila
  • ·
    salt, for rim of glass

How to Make Pomegranate Margaritas

Step-by-Step

  1. Pour pomegranate juice into ice cube tray. Freeze until solid, 2-4 hours.
  2. Pop cubes from tray.
  3. In a blender combine lime juice, liquor, and tequila. Turn blender to the highest speed and gradually drop in all but 2 juice cubes, whirling until slushy.
  4. Wet the top of serving glasses and rim with salt.
  5. Place a pomegranate cube in the bottom of each glass. Pour margarita mixture in and enjoy.
