A nice change from the classic margarita. Great for summer. Cook time is time to freeze pomegranate ice cubes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pomegranate juice (or enough to fill 1 ice cube tray)
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • - salt, for rim of glass

How To Make pomegranate margaritas

  • Step 1
    Pour pomegranate juice into ice cube tray. Freeze until solid, 2-4 hours.
  • Step 2
    Pop cubes from tray.
  • Step 3
    In a blender combine lime juice, liquor, and tequila. Turn blender to the highest speed and gradually drop in all but 2 juice cubes, whirling until slushy.
  • Step 4
    Wet the top of serving glasses and rim with salt.
  • Step 5
    Place a pomegranate cube in the bottom of each glass. Pour margarita mixture in and enjoy.
