milky way cocktail
Almost everyone knows the Space Needle was built for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. I saw a vintage cocktail menu from the Eye of the Needle (the Space Needle Restaurant's name then) that listed special cocktails that were created for the Fair. All the cocktails were given names to fit the Fair's futuristic theme of 'Living in the Space Age'. I've posted the cocktail recipes I could find, so they'll always be available to anyone who wants to reminisce about their day at the Seattle World's Fair. "Milky Way - Western Hotel's famous milk punch lightly dusted with nutmeg" and was $1.50 in 1962.
