If you have five minutes and a blender, you can make these beautiful strawberry mimosas. Strawberry puree stands in for orange juice in a classic mimosa to appreciate the sweet flavor of the berries. You can use any sparkling wine you'd like, but a drier option like a brut champagne or a dry prosecco will play off the sweetness of the berries in a more balanced way. A cava or moscato will make a sweeter drink.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups frozen strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 750 milliliters chilled brut champagne, prosecco, cava, or other sparkling wine
  • fresh whole strawberries, for garnish

How To Make frosty strawberry mimosas

  • Step 1
Add the frozen strawberries, sugar, and 1 cup of champagne to a blender. Turn on high and blend for 1-2 minutes. If it is too thick to blend, add 1/4 cup more champagne.
  • Step 2
Fill each champagne flute halfway with the strawberry mixture. Fill the rest of the glass with chilled champagne. Garnish with a strawberry with a slice down the middle but not all the way through, so it will sit neatly on the glass.
