  • 1 1/2 - 2 ounces tequila
  • 3/4 ounce triple sec
  • 3/4 ounce honey

  • FOR THE RIM OF YOUR GLASS
  • 1/2 - lime - juice of
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • lime wedges

How To Make champagne margarita

  • Step 1
FYI - a shot is equal to 1 1/2 ounces, so you can just use a shot glass to measure your ingredients!
  • Step 2
First, rim the glass - Pour the juice of 1/2 a lime into a shallow and flat bowl that's as wide as the mouth of your glass. Pour the kosher salt in a similar dish. Dip the rim of the glass in the lime juice, about 1/8" deep then dip into the kosher salt bowl. Lift the glass a little and tap lightly to shake off excess salt back into the bowl. Fill glass with crushed ice and set aside while you quickly make the margaritas.
  • Step 3
Combine lime juice, tequila, triple sec, honey, and a lot of ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake very vigorously so that the honey will mix with the other ingredients. Strain into the prepared glass and fill with champagne. Garnish with a lime wedge.
